The management modules is the configuration part for the alerts.

2 default management modules are delivered by default :

• HPA Heath
• Calypso

Contact support@hexagon-perf.com if you want to add another module.

Backup

You can modify the Calypso module as you want, it is not erased during an update.

Be careful to backup your modifications :

<hpa_base_dir>/modules/Introscope/config/modules

You’ll find some jar file containing your configuration, backup :

• Calypso.jar

Functionalities

With the management modules you can deal with :

• Metric grouping : use multiple metrics for a single alert
• Alert : start an action if some metrics do not have the good behavior
• Actions : action that can be done when alerts are raised :
  • send a mail
  • send a SNMP trap
  • start a script locally on the server
• Downtime : manage your downtime, when no alerts are sent.
