A debug session is a period of time when HPA will collect and package useful data about Calypso behavior. This aims first to be shared to Nasdaq Calypso support or customer delivery teams.
During a debug session you can modify the log level, the log categories and generate multiple objects dumps.
So the Calypso performance can be impacted.
You must fulfil this form with those steps:
- Define the duration of the debug session - you will be able to stop it anytime - limited to one hour by default
- Define the name of the session
- Select if you want to collect threads dumps during the session, and their frequency
- Select if you want to collect memory histogram dumps during the session, and their frequency
- Select if you want to collect histogram dumps during the session, and their frequency
As memory dumps can be big - please check the available disk space before starting your debug session !
- Select the agents you want to be covered by the debug session
- Define the adjusted log level - if required
- Modify the log categories by adding and/or removing those used natively by the Calypso components you have selected
You can select several times different Calypso components and add them to the debug session content.
You will see at the bottom of the screen the agents selected by the debug session to start.
